This picture is a close up of the applique on a Samara dress, purchased in January 2000.  A dress of this type was  involved in the Wal-mart v. Samara litigation, but it may not be one of the dresses on which the litigation was based.  Appliques of this type were registered by the U. S. Copyright Office and the copyright was enforced successfully by Samara.
